The House just passed the FY26 Financial Services and General Government bill—$23.3B with a $410M cut from last year, blocking Biden-era regulations, funding cybersecurity upgrades, and prohibiting a Fed-controlled digital currency. They’ve also advanced defense appropriations, slashed green energy mandates, and defunded DEI programs.

But sure, let’s pretend passing seven major spending bills—including blocking non-citizen voting and protecting retirement funds from climate activism—is “nothing.”

Maybe the real vacation is expecting taxpayers to fund D.C.’s bloated bureaucracy without demanding results.
