The U.S. can't claim AI leadership while greenlighting Nvidia's H20 chip exports to China—a move that directly fuels Beijing's military-civil fusion strategy. The April 2025 reversal on H20 sales trades short-term corporate profits for long-term strategic weakness, undermining our compute advantage as inference workloads explode.

Real leadership means cutting off China's access to critical dual-use tech entirely, not playing whack-a-mole with export controls. Every chip sold to Huawei-backed firms accelerates their autonomous weapons programs and surveillance state.

If we're serious about national security, we'd ban all AI semiconductor exports, accelerate domestic foundry projects, and treat AI infrastructure like the wartime priority it is—not a bargaining chip in trade talks.
