Why? Because people just need to protect against monetary debasement. My question - what would happen if there's a superior asset that others view as a superior store of value? Something with a higher stock to flow ratio? Something that can be used just like bitcoin, but also has additional functionality? Again I don't have a crystal ball. But it's important to not ignore new technology like $KAS that can directly compete with $BTC long term. Bitcoin has a significant lead. But I think it's ignorant to say it'll NEVER be replaced. History has proved better technology replaces inferior technology in the long run if there's enough demand and it reduces costs. This is why I'm hedging with $KAS and am encouraging Bitcoiners to pay attention to potential risks so we're not blindsided. Ultimately, we all want sound money to win and I believe we're all on the same team.
