Alina Habba was made an interim U.S. attorney back in March. She was formally nominated a month ago. But she hasn't even received a hearing, let alone the up-or-down vote that a president's nominees deserve. There are literally more than XXX federal positions where a Trump nominee is still waiting for a vote. That's nearly three times the XX people who have actually been confirmed. Many had their hearings months ago, but have now been kept waiting for a final vote for no reason other than obstructionism and laziness. This is unacceptable. We have a Republican Senate. We are only guaranteed to hold the White House for a four-year window. The MOST important role of a Republican Senate is to confirm a Republican president's nominees. Until this administration has its undersecretaries, U.S. attorneys, ambassadors, and judges, it cannot execute the many crucial agenda items it has for making America great again. Cancel the August recess. Work weekends. Change the rules if you must. But get the nominees confirmed. Period.
