The SEC reduced the accredited investor requirement to being one where you can simply take a test to show that you’re a sophisticated investor

Still has to pass the Senate and the president and then take a couple of years to implement 

But the floodgates are about to open for alternatives 

If you couldn’t get into a late stage secondary before you will be able to now 

This will be a huge positive for the private markets IMO as it continues to democratize access and not just leave these opportunities for the wealthy
