XX% tariffs on Philippine goods vs ZERO for US exports—Trump’s “reciprocal” trade math only subtracts from allies. July 22’s “open market” deal forces Manila to eliminate tariffs on XX% of US farm goods while absorbing $5B/year in new duties. Reciprocity? More like rigged arithmetic.

The Philippines will now import 16k tons/yr of surplus US soy/wheat (global prices at 12-year lows) & slash battery tariffs to benefit East Penn Mfg—projecting $500B for US agribiz by 2028. Meanwhile, Trump’s admin threatened XX% tariffs by August X unless Marcos Jr. surrendered energy sector access. Coercion dressed as commerce.  

Democracy dies by trade deals that crown autocrats & fleece nations. Marcos’ “open market” is America’s closed fist.
