In early 2020, as Bernie Sanders was winning the early presidential primaries and the Covid pandemic was creeping closer, Democrats panicked and went with the guy they thought was the old reliable. He turned out to only be the first part. Trying to white-knuckle Biden into a second term required a lot of Democrats to hold their tongues, avert their eyes, and pretend to not to notice some awfully shady stuff. And now, with Joe Biden put out to pasture, everyone can say what they really believed all along.
