SPD now making now making noises that they'll break the coalition if CDU/CSU don't vote their insane leftoid judicial candidates through to our highest court. 
This is a crazy thing to force a crisis over. Neither of these nominees are impressive people, SPD could just nominate two other insane women who are just as nuts but who haven't made that quite as clear in public, as these two have. 

Since election, I have this sense: Within SPD ranks there are hard leftists who have people like Klingbeil by the throat, and who are committed to the project of exposing the CDU as a far-right party, by forcing them into the arms of AfD. It is an attempt to destroy the CDU in one sense (the only sense that matters to them), without realising that these tactics, if they work, redeem CDU in quite another sense.
