I almost walked into a GameFi moderator trap 🙆

A  project DM’d me an official Windows installer to verify my username. My laptop froze, fans roared, and the launcher stalled stubbornly at XX% all while hidden code was quietly siphoning my wallet keys and login creds. 👨‍💻

Luckily, my antivirus caught a Trojan and quarantined the file before it could do worse. 

Always double check download links against the project’s GitHub or audit report, verify file hashes, and sandbox any unknown exe…. Always do thorough research 🧐
