I think we have at least one significant leg higher on SPX driven by earnings. Take us to around 6500. Then
@jvisserlabs ' take makes total sense to me. This will be a broadening, love things like CAT, FCX, BHP. This broadening will be strong, but given the weight of the Megacaps in the SPX, if those consolidate/fall, the strength in things like XLI likely not enough to drive the overall indices higher. Thus, a consolidation makes perfect sense. This will persist for some time as breadth improves and the SOX/Megacaps take a breather. Then as head into year end, a nice rally ensues, taking us to my 7000 SPX price target made back in Dec.
