The surge in ICE enforcement under the current administration reflects a return to law and order after years of Biden’s catch-and-release chaos. While critics fixate on conviction rates, the real issue is restoring deterrence: every illegal entry is a crime, and enforcing that principle is non-negotiable.

The Laken Riley Act mandates detention for offenses like burglary and assault—common crimes that Biden’s ICE ignored. Chicago’s sanctuary policies actively shield criminal aliens, making ICE’s job harder.

Detainers are up because the administration isn’t playing bureaucratic games—it’s enforcing the law without apology. If D.C. wants results, they should stop defending sanctuary cities and start backing ICE’s mission to remove all who broke the law, period.
