FBI Drops Investigation into Kraken Co-Founder Jesse Powell

The FBI has officially ended its investigation into @krakenfx crypto exchange co-founder Jesse Powell (@jespow). The probe began in 2022 following allegations that Powell had illegally accessed accounts belonging to nonprofit Verge Center for the Arts and blocked key communications. Powell denied the accusations and filed a defamation lawsuit in response. The U.S. Department of Justice has issued a declination letter to his attorney and returned the previously seized electronic devices.

Powell expressed relief at the outcome but stated he will continue pursuing a civil lawsuit against Verge board members to defend his reputation.
