Heterodox Academy is baffling. It's been around for ten years, hasn't accomplished much of anything, then feels the need to lash out at those of us who have scored real-world wins, generally in the same direction. 

The main conceit is that Heterodox still believes academia can "reform from within"—against all evidence—while demanding that taxpayers keep sending blank checks. They oppose "federal action" from the Right, while apparently unaware that decades of "federal action" from the Left created the precise problem we are trying to solve. They seem to believe that even enforcing the Civil Rights Act is a step too far.

Terrible political instincts, combined with academic pettiness. Not going to make it.
