Thoughts on Capital Launchpad on Kaito

As everyone knows, on the 16th of July Kaito announced a new tab named Capital Launchpad.

Capital Launchpad links communities with projects, offering an open, merit-based, and relevant alternative to the FCFS model.

The first project that will launch via Kaito's launchpad is @espressoFNDN.

I'll be honest, as soon as I saw the post about the espresso launch, I thought, hm sounds interesting.

And probably I'll take part, however, I changed my mind... and here's why:

The main thing is probably the vesting terms.

They indicated that XX% will unlock at a 1-year cliff and XX% linearly over X year thereafter.

So you invested in it, and you will receive your first XX% of tokens just after the year. That's probably the worst terms that could be tbh.

For me, the project looks promising, but what can happen with the token in a year is unknown.

As everything can repeat with similar projects, when a token can only go down for a year.

Additionally, I noticed that many people skip this launchpad as of KYC.

I think this is not a big deal, but still, many people don't want to share their data and spend the time for it.

So in total the project idea, innovations and tottal raised amount looks solid, but for me XX month cliff is too much.

However, it is up to you whether or not to participate in this launchpad.

Think several times before making a decision, I think the best option would be to hold ur money and save them for something more worthwhile.

It's interesting to see how it will perform and what the terms are for the next project on Capital Launchpad.
