Jessica Leslie, a federal grand juror in the orbit of the John O'Keefe and Karen Read probe, made her initial appearance at the Moakley Courthouse.

Apparently Leslie will be able to leave the courthouse from a secret door, per what the media pool was just told.

A Rule XX plea hearing will take place within a month.

I was one of five reporters in the courtroom for the hearing, which lasted about five minutes.

The magistrate judge asked Leslie if she would be entering a not guilty plea, and Leslie did not do so.

Leslie has already entered into a plea agreement with the DOJ and is expected to formally enter that plea within a month.

It is unclear why Leslie is being protected and hidden from the media.

We are all baffled.
