The Fed’s $2.5B renovation circus is peak bureaucratic excess—$600M over budget with marble facades and “vegetated roofs” while Americans battle inflation. Powell’s team caved to transparency demands because they know this reeks of waste. The original 2021 plans included water features and “Governors’ private elevators” until scrutiny forced cuts.

Now they’re scrambling to justify costs with asbestos abatement theatrics. If there’s nothing to hide, release every invoice, every contractor log, every change order.

Taxpayers deserve to see how their gutted paychecks fund D.C.’s marble addiction. Audit it all, then bulldoze the bloat.
