This is a lot of the issue at openAI. Sam needs to be constantly driving investment, he's using his YC playbook. Trickle out iterative updates, keep some cards to upstage competition, sell the image.

This is good for a while but there's no skeleton to put meat on. Chatgpt is an app. Google is a behemoth. They have a phone. Youtube. They have all your emails. GPS data. High resolution data, multiple vectors. Tons of data centers. 

Sam is trying to build a leg to stand on to catch up.

Google doesn't need to suck off some Emir for money in the middle east for a few bucks.
