Huma Finance: A Quick History

We have been yapping about @humafinance, but we haven't gone to the origin.

Let's dive deeper.

Founded in 2022 by @0xErbil, @Richard Liu, Ji Peng, and Lei Du, Huma Finance launched in early 2025 to pioneer "PayFi", lending based on future income, not crypto collateral.

In September 2024, Huma raised $38M in a Series A round (totaling $46M) from major investors like Circle Ventures and Galaxy Digital. Around the same time, Huma merged with Arf to boost cross-border payments and real-world asset lending, processing over $1B in payments by early 2024.
