If a X% swing for a high beta name has us feeling nervous… Best options:

X. Do a lot more research to more effectively evaluate investment case & risks. That’s the only way we can evaluate if volatility is to be taken advantage of. If the firm is healthy, exhale & zoom out.

X. Seek out less volatile names.

X. Buy an index fund instead.

Volatility is inevitable. How we prepare for it & react to it will separate us from the pack.
