Definitely agreed with this viewpoint in the past but for the first time players now actually have leverage.

Paige Bueckers is set to make more in her offseason 3v3 league this season than her entire WNBA rookie contract. The big players are now big enough names to command more money, and at this point are reaching stardom before even entering the WNBA

New TV deal in 2026 completely will change the league’s revenue landscape as well, league will have potential to turn a profit for once and won’t just be the sports version of Uber or Twitter
