Olympic champion Joshua Cheptegei will race the Amsterdam Marathon on October 19th. This will be his third career marathon. He owns a personal best of 2:05:59 from March's Tokyo Marathon.

🗣️ Cheptegei: "I’m looking forward to racing in Amsterdam and writing the next chapter of my career. It’s a city and a race rich in history, and I can’t wait to create a memorable moment during the 50th edition of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon!”

Cheptegei is the reigning World champion in the 10,000m but will not defend his title at the upcoming World Championships in Tokyo. His next race will be the Antrim Coast Half Marathon on Aug. 24th.
