.@VDHanson: The WSJ’s Trump-Epstein Letter is Just a Distraction

Despite promises, neither Democrats nor Donald Trump initially released the so-called Epstein files. Now, under pressure, Trump allies like Kash Patel and Dan Bongino say names will be released.

Some are pointing to a birthday letter Trump reportedly sent Epstein, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, to reignite scandal. But what the Wall Street Journal doesn’t get is that, even if that letter is real, this isn’t new territory. The public isn’t shocked by Trump’s past associations. What matters is whether there was any criminal activity. So far, there’s no evidence he was involved.
