GUN DISPUTE ... Lydia Elindi, who is one of the persons charged in connection with alleged corruption and fraud at the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia, is denying that she tried to get hold of a firearm in her home in Windhoek before a police officer stopped her on X July, when she and her husband, Malakia Elindi, were arrested. A police officer had trouble removing the pistol's magazine and she offered to help with that, but her offer was turned down, Elindi said during a bail hearing in the Windhoek Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
