What do you think would happen to a "normal" person who does that at work? Objectively speaking, the WNBA runs a loss every year, and if the WNBA players want to be paid what they are worth, it would objectively be less than they get paid today (a lot less). So it would actually behoove them not to be paid what the WNBA is worth.
