🇺🇸🇬🇧 LONDON TO NYC BY TRAIN? THERE’S A (VERY EXPENSIVE) PLAN FOR THAT

A $XX trillion project is proposing a 3,400-mile underwater tunnel connecting London and New York, turning a 7-hour flight into a 1-hour train ride.

That’s right: transatlantic, through the ocean, under crushing pressure, and past maybe-Atlantis levels of ambition.

The engineering hurdles are massive, pressure, safety, environmental impact, but so is the price tag: the entire U.S. GDP.

Don’t expect to ride it anytime soon... unless you're planning school drop-off in 2080.
