PRIDE AND EGO ARE A TRAP 

Back when I was documenting my Web3 journey on WA. A strange number texted me, asking me if I could guide him through Web3

I agreed, but asked to know who he was (or how he may have gotten my contact. It wasn't uncommon for someone from X to DM at the time)

The stranger refused to disclose, and I was curious as to why anyone asking me for help wouldn't introduce themselves to me, so I insisted that he tell me

(Judging from how he spoke—I could tell it was someone I knew in Web2) 

He said, and I quote:

 "If you can't help me without knowing who it is, then I guess I'll remain broke forever"

Shivers ran through my spine. How could anyone say something like that? I mean they could've introduced with a false identity at least

Imagine going as far as hiding your identity and letting pride take over, because you want to maintain steeze...

I think about that incident from time to time, and it baffles me till this day.
