US President Donald Trump has ordered the withdrawal of the United States from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), citing what he described as anti-US and anti-Israel positions, along with objections to the agency’s “woke” agenda, The New York Post reported.

Trump had initiated a 90-day review of US involvement in the organization in February, focusing on what he called “anti-Semitism or anti-Israel sentiment within the organization.”

According to a White House official quoted by The Post, the review also criticized UNESCO’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs, its stance on Palestine, and what officials described as 'pro-China bias.'
