Elon Musk is honouring local farmers by sourcing fresh, locally grown ingredients for the Tesla Diner, because he knows their struggle firsthand.

At 17, he spent a summer working on his second cousin’s wheat farm in Saskatchewan, Canada, wearing a hat on a hat after long days of barn raising and harvesting.

“That whole experience gave me a deep respect for farmers. They work incredibly hard to put food on everyone’s table.”
