When people say they “Want their country back”, what they mean is this. The economic decline in the UK has been nothing but stupendous. This sharp decline in standards of living over a roughly XX year period has manifested itself into blaming legal and illegal migrants for it. It is not the migrants faults. We would all head off to faraway lands in the search of a better life for us and our families. Exploring foreign lands is what made Britain and the West, a powerhouse in the first place. This hate towards foreigners is misplaced and needs to be redirected at the politicians. Yes, of course there are some bad people who come and take advantage of the high trust society that has been built but there’s plenty of British born people who do the same. And yes, there are also some cultures that are incompatible with British values and the scale of that population shouldn’t be as great as it is now. The fact of the matter is the politicians enabled it to happen. They were happy to give tax payers money away to expand the welfare state so that they could get those welfare recipients to vote for them. They would also promise so called “feel good policies” that whilst sounding nice (which won them votes), made no monetary sense and tax payers of the future would be burdened with the bill of these niceties. A politicians main job is to get elected. It isn’t to do what’s best for the country. They can say they will do what’s best but then completely change tactics when they are actually in power and so, we need to move to a system where their can be more direct and instant accountability for not living up to what was promised. At best, these people are sales people who talk a good game and may actually have good intentions but are completely inept. At worst, they are sociopaths who are happy to manipulate people and bankrupt the country to solidify their own power, generate personal wealth and increase their status. It seems like for many years, we have been naive enough to believe it’s the best scenario, mentioned above and it’s now time to come to terms that we were wrong. It’s time to admit that these people are some of the worst among us and treat them as such. The system is broken and it needs fixing. Whilst we argue over left and right, Labour and Conservative, nothing changes. The whole thing needs tearing down and built again from scratch.
