In the US, a SkyWest passenger plane carrying XX people narrowly avoided a mid-air collision with a B-52 bomber

While landing in North Dakota, the pilot spotted the large military aircraft heading straight towards them and performed an evasive manoeuvre at the last second.

Leaked audio reveals the pilot's shock:
"Passengers on the right side may have seen a plane coming right at us... I chose to turn behind it to stay safe. I have no idea why we weren't warned - there's a radar at the base."

The Air Force later confirmed that the B-52 was part of a planned flyover. An investigation is now underway.
Military planes like the B-52 often fly without transponders, which makes them invisible to civilian radar and puts lives at risk.
