Another myth. Gordon Brown sold a portion of our gold and not at fire sale. Cost us the tax payers far less than we lost with cheap sale of Royal mail, Sunak not insuring against rates rise on national debt and of course Liz Truss. X of these were govt ineptness. Brown made a decision which nobody disagreed with at time - like blaming him for not buying shares in Amazon
