It was one of our best games of that season and what the SD’s have wanted to build the squad towards all along. We saw a glimpse of our potential (largely dominating LFC for long periods), but we were held back by key profiling choices and still excelled because key figures like Enzo/James were in their best roles so carried us. Next season can you imagine us finally perfecting everything and bringing it all together. — Caicedo/Enzo double-pivot — Xavi Simons between the lines — Palmer RW coming inside — James/Gusto RHS domination — Phsyical back X — Live-wire LW — Perfect player-profiling (vs Colwill LB, Disasi wide-CB, Gallagher #6, Chilwell LW etc). Poor from Poch. — Our best players in their best roles weekly. Maresca struggled with this last season. — An actual coach built for this style of football with elite tactical acumen, implementing rotations/fluidity etc. We’ve seen glimpses of our true level in the past X seasons, but I think we’re going to finally see it all come together and beyond with perfection/efficiency in all areas.
