The sweeping method in the video is a very common practice in most African countries, it’s basically used to sweep small areas within and outside a house. This is usually done early in the morning and evenings to keep the surroundings serene, and leaves a beautiful fine pattern on the surface. You must understand that sweeping surroundings is a very important part of African culture and most households do it. What you are seeing in the video is not straw, those are fine sturdy sticks carefully cut out from Palm tree leaves, sometimes coconut leaves, they are long lasting and effective. The brooms most of you are familiar with are available in stores but not suitable for sweeping dirt outside. Africans do not deserve the hate, not even the one living millions of miles away from you. I think we are all different and that makes our world beautiful and interesting, and if you will hate a people because they do things a bit differently than you, you are the problem. Finally, that lady is a content creator and she makes videos like this just for entertainment, as you can see in the video she is basically sweeping nothing.
