Given that this chart represents home price relative to the CPI, it makes the perfect argument that CPI is a completely antiquated measure of inflation which needs to drop homeowner's equivalent rate and come up with a realistic cost for housing. 🤔

Homeowners with 30-year fixed rate mortgages under X% have no idea what rents actually are - they consistently underestimate the actual cost of living which has caused CPI to underrepresent inflation. 🤦‍♂️

... but what do I know? I'm just a professionally-trained statistician. 🤷‍♂️
