The statement by these countries is a good start. But nowhere near sufficient. There are a few problems with it:

1) The most important countries to Israel, the US, and Germany did not sign it. 
2) There are no actionable steps to boycott or sanction Israel. Meaning it is just harsh words. 
3) The words are not harsh enough. This is a genocide, not just a war, and this is not a "humanitarian city," it's a concentration camp. 

The weakness of the statement gives Israel a license to continue to starve and kill the population of Gaza. Do better.
