Atomic Swaps – The Core Technology of @PortaltoBitcoin 

After doing some research, I’m truly impressed by Atomic Swaps. It’s a technology that allows direct crypto-to-crypto trades, like BTC ↔ ETH, without using exchanges or trusting any third parties.

What I love most is the safety: the trade only happens if both sides follow through — otherwise, it cancels automatically and no one loses anything. This is made possible by HTLC, a smart contract that locks funds with a time limit and hash.

This tech fits perfectly with the DeFi spirit: no trust needed, no risk of hacks, no loss of asset control. And Portal to Bitcoin is making this real — enabling users to swap BTC for native EVM tokens, without bridges or wrapped assets, yet still fast and secure.

To me, this is a big step forward in building true Bitcoin DeFi.
