Most stablecoins today are issued by centralized entities, carrying inherent risks of censorship and control. But a $DOT-collateralized stablecoin would be different. ✅ It would be collateralized by $DOT, an already stable and widely trusted asset ranked among the top XX by market cap. ✅ It would be issued on Polkadot, the most secure and resilient network in Web3. ✅ It could be transferred across multiple chains through Polkadot’s built-in interoperability. ✅ Most importantly, it would uphold the values of decentralization—resistant to censorship or control. I’ve long questioned the dominance of centralized stablecoins in Web3. A $DOT-collateralized, Polkadot-native stablecoin could resolve this contradiction. Once such a stablecoin is used across Web3—from payments to DeFi—it would drive up the value of $DOT, and in turn enhance the economic resilience of the Polkadot ecosystem by opening up new revenue streams. This is the future that a $DOT-collateralized stablecoin can unlock.
