If I was being completely neutral with no bag bias towards Bonk, I would say it would be poor timing to airdrop right now.

One your inflicting more downside onto your chart, two your basically handing money to Letsbonk and the BONK ecosystem where people will sell the airdrop, and instantly go and buy LB coins.

Imo their best bet is a string of good announcements, pump coins mooning = people incentivised to either hold the drop, or trade on $pump

so in turn they still farm a bit of their drop back through fees, instead of giving it on a silver platter to Tom and co.
