So Robinhood advertises X% cash back. But during card activation and auto-pay setup, it asked me if I wanted to auto-deduct my points from my balance. I almost said yes - because why wouldn't I want my balance to be reduced by 3%? But I stopped because there was this fine print that was barely legible and it said "points will be redeemed at XXX cents per point" - I immediately thought "points?" what's it talking about. I thought this was a cash-back card - not a points card... Then I noticed the few charges I had on the card had given me X points per $X of charge (not 3%). So if I redeem X points for XXX cents each, that equals to XXX cents or XXX% cash back (or deduction) from my balance. Not the X% advertised. WHAT!? @RobinhoodApp how's this X% cash back!?
