🚨🇺🇸 MLK FILES: CIA SUGGESTED SHAPING HOUSE PROBE WITH “LIAISON” ON DR. KING MATERIAL

A 1976 CIA internal draft proposed deploying a liaison to manage contact with the House Select Committee on Assassinations. 

The goal: control how sensitive files about Dr. King, JFK, and other political figures would be reviewed. 

The memo outlines a plan to “brief selectively,” monitor committee intentions, and filter what the agency would admit to publicly. 

While offering cooperation, the draft reveals Langley was preparing to protect its own reputation before handing over anything on Dr. King’s assassination or related operations.
