Mary calls God "her Savior". If she was Sinless, she would not require saving. - Luke 1:46-48. 

John The Baptist humbly recognized that Jesus was who should baptizing him. Baptism represents a washing away of Sin. - Matthew 3:13-15. 

As Jesus was the only one who was Sinless, baptism had an exaltation effect upon Him. God The Father and God The Holy Spirit both publicly received Him. 

Something that would not happen with Mary or John the Baptist... because they are not Sinless... and they are not God.
