The GOP’s famed “legislative efficiency” vanishes when Epstein’s shadow looms—suddenly, recess can’t come fast enough. How convenient: a party that turbocharged $9B in DOGE cuts now claims paralysis over basic accountability votes.  

House Republicans blocked Rep. Massie’s binding Epstein disclosure bill *today*—despite bipartisan support—to shield the admin’s document drip-feed. Note the pattern: Trump waited until WSJ exposed his ’03 Epstein letter before “directing” limited grand jury releases, while XX% of FOIA requests on his dealings stall. Yet they rammed through $4.5T in deficit-busting tax breaks last week *without* CBO scores. Priorities: protect elites, punish NPR.
