Secretary Noem and Rep. Van Duyne are spot-on. Sanctuary cities like New York prioritize political posturing over public safety, shielding violent illegal aliens like Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez—a repeat offender with kidnapping and assault charges who never should’ve been loose on American streets. The Laken Riley Act (H.R. 4) already mandates ICE detainers for criminal aliens, but blue-city politicians ignore federal law, releasing predators back into communities. This isn’t compassion—it’s complicity.

Every dollar sent to sanctuary jurisdictions under the Byrne Grant Program should be clawed back until they comply. The administration’s push to deputize local law enforcement under X U.S.C. § 13703 is the only way to end this madness.

If NYC honored detainer requests, that CBP officer wouldn’t be fighting for his life. No more excuses.
