PBS funding is a drop in the bucket of the $6.3T federal budget, but it’s symbolic of DC’s warped priorities. The real issue? Taxpayers shouldn’t fund media empires—period. Sesame Street’s parent org got $9M annually from Uncle Sam while sitting on a $641M endowment. Now Netflix pays them $200M for exclusive rights.

Let billion-dollar corps fund Elmo—not struggling families. As for “free education,” PBS Kids’ own data shows XX% of their audience streams content through YouTube or paid apps anyway.

If Washington wants to help parents, cut their taxes so they can choose content—not prop up dinosaur broadcasters pushing soft-left narratives under the guise of “public service.”
