Roderick Brown says a man named Littrell handed him a card in Panama and promised work in Mobile, Alabama. When he asked what kind of job, Littrell allegedly replied: "to kill Dr. King." Brown refused, and his family warned him not to go. He later wrote to Littrell from NYC and was asked to send \$75 for the bus ride south. He never went. He gave this statement to Panamanian authorities in 1968 after seeing news of MLK's death and realizing what he may have narrowly escaped.
