It is laughable that Scott Bessent, who has a bachelor's in poli sci, refers to Donald Trump as "a high functioning executive President" and "economically sophisticated."
Donald Trump has a bachelor's in economics as a Wharton transfer student. His posts show unbelievable ignorance of economics, where he thinks other countries pay tariffs, doesn't understand comparative advantage and doesn't know that raising taxes like tariffs is inflationary and recessionary.
Trump, 79, is in an age group where the mean WAIS-IV IQ before age norming is 79, which is borderline or borderline low.  Though Trump claims to have a "nice high IQ," there is no evidence for that, and no record of his ever taking an IQ test or SAT and what his scores were.
