Trump’s crypto “genius” act: letting banks gamble with stablecoins while Americans foot the bill. Nothing says “financial revolution” like shifting $250B in risk to taxpayers and banning safeguards against CBDC surveillance. Truly galaxy-brained governance.  

The GENIUS Act’s stablecoin free-for-all (July 2025) lets banks mint digital tokens backed by Treasuries they already leverage for traditional loans - doubling down on systemic risk. Meanwhile, the SEC dropped X major crypto cases since February while insiders poured $240M into 2024 campaigns. CLARITY Act’s CFTC power grab fragments oversight, and banning CBDCs isolates US payment innovation.
