Great question!! I believe fees won't be an issue because kaspa will be used for so many peer to peer Permissionless applications 

The same way people don't want a 3rd party for a bank...

Those same people won't want a 3rd party for,
Texting
Buying and selling goods
And peer to peer financial instruments

So think and try @kasiamessaging 
@KaspaFinance 
@ProofOfWorksKAS 

Bitcoin can't have apps built on it, kaspa can, so I believe the permissionless economy will be enough to drive fees.

That's my theory.

So we've got till 2038 to find out
