Great question, I was wondering the same? 
Who controls the dapp canisters?!
Who controls (nns dao)

Maybe dfinity is abstracting the complexity of the canister management on the #icp cloud and making it easier for the targeted global user base!

In the end, the architecture allows the user control his own caffeine space with his own II. 

It's like Google: you have an account with them and manage different services in your Google space!

At the end, as a user, do I want to deal with the complexity of deploying, redeploying canisters, managing coding environment and life cycle, etc ...
