🚨🇺🇸 MLK FILES: “STATIONERY” SCAM? MLK KILLER USED FELLOW INMATE TO HIDE CASH
James Earl Ray allegedly tricked inmate Kenny Hurt in 1966 into sending $XX “for stationery.”
No paper ever showed up.
Turns out, Ray was funneling money from illegal prison activity using Hurt’s name, without telling him.
Authorities tracked inmate funds tightly, but Ray had side income to hide.
He later sent Hurt’s payment to a couple in St. Louis, under the radar.
